RESICAL 300 G POWDER

COMPOSITION
RESICAL contains 93.5% w/w Calcium Polystyrene Sulphonate.

INDICATION
RESICAL is used to remove excess levels of potassium from his body, particularly in patients who have kidney problems and those on dialysis.

DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
RESICAL may be given orally (by mouth) or rectally as an enema.
The usual oral dose for adults is 15g 3-4 times a day.
The usual daily rectal dose for adults is 30 g of resin made up into an enema.
The usual dose for children is 1g for each kg of body weight.
For new-born infants the resin must only be given rectally. The usual dose is between 0.5g-1g for each kg body weight.
